Pretty Darn Adorable (“PDA”) operates both prettydarnadorable.com and thegatheredstitch.com (“TGS”). Both websites are run by me, Cyprianne, and feature crochet pattern roundups highlighting the work of talented designers across the crochet community.

This policy explains how I use designer photos in roundup posts and how I respect the rights of all creators whose work is featured.

1. Purpose of Roundup Posts

Roundups on both PDA and TGS are created to:

  • Celebrate designers
  • Drive traffic directly to the original patterns
  • Make it easier for readers to discover high-quality crochet designs
  • Promote the work of independent creators

My goal is always to highlight your creativity and send readers straight to your site.

2. How Images Are Used

To respect copyright and ensure proper credit:

  • I do not download, store, or rehost designer images
  • Photos are embedded or linked directly from the original designer’s publicly available content
  • No third-party photos are stored in my WordPress Media Library
  • Roundup images remain on the designer’s server, not mine
  • Every image links back to the designer’s website or pattern page
  • I never claim ownership of designer photos or content

All credit remains with the original creator.

3. How Designers Are Featured

Designers are included in roundups based on:

  • Publicly available images on their websites
  • Their open invitation to be featured
  • Submissions via email or forms
  • Prior communication or permission

In every case, I always link back to the designer and clearly attribute their work.

4. Removing or Updating Images

I respect designers’ rights 100%.

If you are a designer featured in one of my roundups and want:

  • Your photo removed
  • Your link updated
  • A credit line changed
  • A different image used
  • The feature adjusted or improved

Just email me at cyprianne@prettydarnadorable.com and I will make the requested changes quickly.

You do not need to give a reason.

5. No Endorsements or Guarantees

Inclusion in a roundup does not mean:

  • Paid partnership
  • Sponsorship
  • Endorsement
  • Business relationship

It simply highlights your publicly shared work for readers to enjoy.

6. Designer Permissions

When designers submit their patterns directly (through email, forms, or submissions), they understand and agree that:

  • I may feature their photos in roundup posts
  • Images will always be linked to their site
  • Images will never be downloaded or modified
  • They can request removal at any time

If you prefer that your designs never be included in roundups, just let me know — I’ll add you to a “Do Not Feature” list.
